Request a Ride-along - UW–Madison Police Department

Thanks for your interest in a ride-along with the UW-Madison Police Department! Participants will be required to sign:

an agreement assuming risk of injury or damage.
a waiver and release of claims and indemnity agreement.

We will also conduct a basic background check for each ride-along applicant. Please note: individuals will be limited to two ride-alongs in a 12 month period. For more information about our ride-along program, email the UWPD ride-along coordinator at uwpdridealong@mhub.uwpd.wisc.edu.
