4:15 pm, Found Property, Picnic Point. Black wallet found at picnic point and brought into dispatch.
11:15 am, Theft/Larceny, Local Hospital. Contacted person via phone who reported the theft of $40 in cash taken from their wallet after they lost it at the UWER waiting room between 12am and 2:30am on 7/29/23. Wallet located and returned to owner .
2:11 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Local Hospital. Contacted person regarding hospital security reporting their statements outside of ER entrance.

3:31 pm, Criminal Damage, Lot 46. Cited suspect for criminal damage to property and Tampering/Bypassing Security Device. Suspect manually lifted gate arm at west entrance to ramp, causing $1200.00 damage. Suspect cited for theft < $100, Tampering/Bypassing Security Device, and operating while suspended.
7:00 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Natural Ave Lot. A kayaker had fallen into Lake Wingra approximately 50 yards from shore and could not swim to shore due to weeds. Vilas Boat on scene and able to make rescue.
2:42 am, Other, N. Mills & Regent Streets. Cited suspect for Operating While Suspended and Verbally Warned for no rear license plate.

3:54 pm, Battery, Local Hospital. Contacted suspect after physically assaulting two security officers and an ED Tech at local hospital. UWPD Therapy K9 deployed to assist and deescalate situation.
11:54 pm, Other, N. Park & Spring Streets. Traffic Stop - Report number pulled in error.
1:38 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Wisconsin Ave & W. Johnson St. Contacted person after being flagged down by pedestrians.

5:35 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Observatory Dr & Park St. Contacted persons after one struck the other persons vehicle while driving west on Observatory Dr.
10:44 pm, Damage to Property, Rennebohm Hall. Contacted person regarding flood damage to first floor and loading dock area.

1:29 pm, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 16. Footage reviewed from east camera at 1429 Monroe St. after parked vehicle was struck by a 4dr sedan, black in color while attempting to make a 3 point turn in Lot 16.

1:25 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Location Redacted. Contacted person about co-worker who was experiencing a medical event.
2:31 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 63. Contacted person regarding their vehicle being damaged in Lot 63.

11:56 pm, Operating While Intoxicated, University Ave & N. Charter St. Arrested/Cited/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for unsafe lane deviation, OWI 1st, and PAC.

7:03 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Hilldale Lane. Assisted SHPD with detaining a suspect in a theft that was located at the McDonalds on University Ave.

11:34 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, State & W. Gillman Streets. Assisted MFD/MPD regarding person who fell and was bleeding on State St near Gilman Street.
11:45 pm, Drug Violation, Nakoma Lot. Contacted persons for closing hours violation and verbally warned for drug posession.

8:26 am, Other, Campus Drive & Highland Ave. Suspicious Vehicle - Contacted by telephone person due to finding their unoccupied vehicle on the side of the road in an unsafe location.
12:45 pm, Theft/Larceny, Local Hospital. Contacted local hospital security for theft that occurred in the gift shop.
1:03 pm, Alarm, Location Redacted. Contacted person who advised was a staff member. No other issues.

4:59 pm, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Memorial Union. Responded to Memorial Union for suspected heat-related injury/illness.

11:48 pm, Other, Union South. Closing Hours Violation - Contacted person for closing hours after staff reported they were on the floor of the bathroom naked after building had closed.

10:08 pm, Bail Jumping, Memorial Union. UWPD Security reported an in-progress bike theft. Arrested/Cited/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail Suspect for misdemeanor bail jumping and cited for bike theft.

2:34 pm, Trespassing/After Hours, Memorial Union. Verbally warned suspect for UW code camping after observing them sleeping under a blanket under the overhang at the Memorial Library.
